Products and deliverables board
This article shows you how to track products and their deliverables on a board, move each deliverable through its stages, and link it to the tasks that build it.
What products and deliverables are
- A product belongs to one list. It groups the pieces of work that make it up.
- A deliverable is one of those pieces. It moves through five stages: To Do, In Progress, Completed, Staged and Deployed.
- A deliverable can be linked to any number of tasks, and a task to any number of deliverables.
Products and deliverables are self-managed. Any member can create and change them, and nothing here needs approval.
Turn it on (admin)
Products are off by default. To turn them on:
- In the sidebar, click Workspace.
- On the General tab, find Features and tick Products & Deliverables.
- Click Save Settings.
Owners, admins and workspace managers can change this. Turning it off hides products and deliverables but deletes nothing. They come back when you turn it on again.
Add a product
- Open a list and click Products at the top.
- Type a name in New product name… and click Add Product (or press Enter).
- Click the product to open its board.
On the board you can click the product's name to rename it, click the color dot (Change colour) to pick a new color, and click Add a description… to describe it.

Add and move deliverables
- On the product's board, click Add deliverable at the bottom of a column.
- Type a name and press Enter. Press Esc to cancel.
- To move a deliverable to another stage, drag it by its handle to another column, or pick the stage from the menu on its card.
Click a deliverable's name to rename it or add a description, then click Save.

Link deliverables to tasks
- Start a task from a deliverable: click Task on its card. The task form opens with the list and the deliverable already filled in.
- Pick deliverables on the task form: after you choose the list, tick the ones you want under Deliverables (optional). Only deliverables from that list's products are shown.
A deliverable card shows how many tasks are linked to it. Click the count to see them, and click a task to open it. On the task's page, a Deliverables section shows each linked deliverable and its stage. Click one to open its product's board.
Archive or delete
- Archive a product or a deliverable to hide it without losing it. Click Show archived to see archived items again, then Restore to bring one back.
- Delete a product to remove it and all its deliverables. This can't be undone, so TaskFlow offers Archive instead.
- Delete a deliverable by clicking the bin icon and confirming.
Deleting a product or deliverable never deletes the tasks linked to it. Only the link goes.
