A tour of the sidebar and My Work

This article helps you find your way around TaskFlow: what's in the sidebar, and how to use My Work, your personal list of things to do.

The sidebar

The sidebar on the left is how you move around TaskFlow. From top to bottom:

  • Workspace switcher – shows the workspace you're in. Click it to switch to another workspace.
  • Search – find tasks and pages quickly. You can also press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac).
  • Favorites – the tasks, spaces, projects and lists you've starred. See Favorites and the pop-out window.
  • Pages – links such as Dashboard, My Work, Timesheets and Calendar.
  • Spaces – your workspace's spaces, projects and lists. Click one to see its tasks, or click All Tasks.
  • Your name – at the bottom, with the option to log out.

You can drag the page links into the order you prefer, and collapse the sidebar to a narrow strip of icons.

Why your sidebar may look different

The links depend on your role. Members see My Tasks & Requests for the tasks they've requested and been assigned. Managers see Tasks & Approvals for incoming requests, and the Team page. Owners, admins and managers also see Workspace for the settings. See Roles.

Your workspace admin can also hide some optional pages, such as Docs or Sprints, from regular members. If a page you need is missing, ask your admin.

The top-right corner

When a timer is running, it appears in the top-right corner. Next to it is the notification bell. See Notifications.

My Work

Click My Work in the sidebar. This page brings together what needs your attention.

Today's summary

At the top, cards show what's Due Today, what's overdue, what's coming up in the next three days, any Unread Mentions, and how many hours you've Logged this week.

The My Work tab

This tab lists the tasks assigned to you. You can:

  • Use the search box to find a task or subtask by name.
  • Click Subtasks to see only the subtasks assigned to you.
  • Click Recurring to switch between all tasks, recurring tasks only, and non-recurring tasks.
  • Click Filters to narrow the list, for example by status or due date.
  • Change the sort order, for example by Due Date or Priority.

Managers also have an Assigned to me switch to show only the tasks they're working on themselves.

Click any task to open it.

The Inbox tab

The Inbox tab holds your notifications. Filter them with Mentions, Assignments, Approvals, Comments and more, or click Mark all as read. The number next to My Work in the sidebar is how many unread notifications you have.
